Senator Wagoner was excused from a call of the Senate. Senator McGuire was absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Bishop Edward J. Burns of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Juneau. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Good and gracious God, I come before you confident in your love for us. I ask that you bless the legislators of the great state of Alaska. In their work, may they reflect your justice. In their decisions, may they reflect your wisdom. In their actions, may they reflect your love. And for all of us, may we reflect you, for you have created us in your image. I ask your blessing upon the neediest in our world.
