It is with the deepest respect for the religious beliefs of all Alaskans that I offer this prayer: Our Heavenly Father, It is with absolute faith that I call upon you today Lord, to be here to help in the decision making process and the idea shaping process because I am convinced that you care very deeply about what goes on here. You have told us to pray for our leaders and you have also told us to pray that your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, we do so now because we also care very deeply about the issues that are decided here.
