With the deepest respect for the religious beliefs of all Alaskans, I offer the following prayer. Gracious God: We are blessed to live in America, a country unlike any other in the world; we are blessed to live in Alaska, a state unlike any of the others. You have given us this place of beauty, vast resources of land, minerals, wildlife of various types, mountains, streams, and wide open tundra-even a temperate rain forest. May you work through the efforts of all who gather here today to lead and guide us in being good stewards of all that is before us. 2011-03-07 House Journal Page 0388 We ask for a spirit of discernment and wisdom as information is put forth and decisions are made. We ask for patience and understanding as differences of opinions emerge. Remove the roadblocks from our path so that regardless of the nature of a problem, those on all sides might work towards that which is best for everyone. In your holy name we pray. Amen.
