Representatives Chenault, Foster, Gatto, Hawker, Johnson, and Seaton had been excused from a call of the House today. Representative P. Wilson, Acting Majority Leader, moved and asked unanimous consent that Representative Stoltze be excused from a call of the House from today to 8:00 p.m., February 6. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Sue Bahleda of Resurrection Lutheran Church. Representative P. Wilson moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it was so ordered. With respect to the diversity of voices, beliefs, and practices that call out to a power beyond our individual selves, I offer the following prayer: Gracious One: You have blessed us with these men and women to represent us, all of us. We thank you for safely gathering them together again and for their commitment to service. Guide their hearts and minds; fill their imaginations; control their wills. Bring all their good work faithfully begun to a productive end.
