In deepest respect for the religious beliefs of each person here, I invite you into a time of prayer and reflection. Let us pray. Lord God, Creator: Through you all things are possible. We ask your guidance in decisions we make about our state and our brothers and sisters we share this place with. Help us remember the work we do is for your honor and their honor. This land we call Alaska is unique and special. It is your creation but our responsibility today. Let us be remembered for the wise decisions we make. Care for and watch over our loved ones today and every day and help us remember: Life is short and we haven't much time to gladden the hearts of those that travel the way with us, so be swift to be kind and make haste to love.
