Spirit of life and love, we have gathered here in search of answers to hard questions. We have come in search of understanding, in search of how best to strengthen our community called Alaska. We have come in search of hope. Let this be a place not only of searching, but of discovery. Let this be a place of learning and of wisdom. Let this be a place not just of meeting, but of connection with each other and with those you are here to serve. Our prophets have taught us the value of justice. But the work of justice is what we must learn and do ourselves. 2008-04-03 Senate Journal Page 2606 May we find the strength and wisdom to lead a life that fulfills our values. So be it. Amen.
