God who sees all, we thank you that you see and know the hard work and efforts of these Senators and of their staffs and of all who work here. As the tasks right before them loom large and complex, may they be always mindful of everyday Alaskans just trying to live their lives, and may they especially remember the most vulnerable among us: children, especially those from non-nurturing homes; the mentally ill; the working poor; the homeless; the seriously ill with life threatening conditions. And may we be thankful for those committed to helping others and those dedicated to making Alaska a more caring, generous and compassionate state. We ask for your blessing upon the families of these Senators. May those things that are true, honorable, just, pure, pleasing, commendable, excellent, and worthy of praise be before us and guide the actions of those serving in this place. Amen.
