Senators Cowdery, French, Huggins were excused from a call of the Senate. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Mike Rose of the Juneau Christian Center. You have set your glory above the heavens. When I consider your heavens, and work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him. Lord, as I reflect on these words from the Psalmist David, I can't help but echo a sense of how awesome and purposeful your creation is, which reflects the glory of the creator. Heavenly Father thank you for this beautiful day and for the opportunity to live life with purpose. May your blessing, and favor be upon all those in the Senate. We ask for wisdom, direction and guidance in the decisions that are made here today. Help us to live our lives in the fullness of your purpose. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. 2008-02-08 Senate Journal Page 1804 Senator Ellis led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance.
