Senators Stevens, Therriault, Wagoner, Wilken were excused from a call of the Senate. Senators Cowdery, McGuire were absent. Senator Huggins, Acting Majority Leader, moved and asked unanimous consent that Senator Cowdery be excused from a call of the Senate today. Without objection, Senator Cowdery was excused. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Mike Rose of the Juneau Christian Center. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Heavenly Father, I offer thanks and praise to you for this beautiful day created for your honor and glory. Thank you for your faithfulness, protection and loving kindness which you have graciously granted to us in abundance. I thank you for the liberties that we enjoy living in this great nation as one nation under God.
