The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Major Joe Huttenlocker of The Salvation Army. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Together Oh God, we give thanks. Thanks for this new day. Thanks for these men and women who give tirelessly of themselves to serve the people of this great state of Alaska. We thank you for their leadership. We thank you for the heritage and traditions they represent and bring into this chamber. May they be mindful of those who laid the foundation from ages past to bring them to where they are today in serving the people of Alaska. In their positions, may they lead well; mentor these young people who serve them and seek to learn how to serve and lead. Grant them a day of things accomplished. May it be so. Amen. Reconsideration of Senate Bills SB 46 Senator Therriault requested that the reconsideration on CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 46(RES) be taken up. The bill was before the Senate on reconsideration. The question to be reconsidered: "Shall CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 46(RES) "An Act relating to the Alaska coastal management program; providing for an effective date by amending the effective date of sec. 45, ch. 24, SLA 2003, as amended by sec. 21, ch. 31, SLA 2005; and providing for an effective date" pass the Senate?" Unfinished Business Senator Therriault moved and asked unanimous consent to be excused from a call of the Senate on February 9. Without objection, Senator Therriault was excused. Senator Bunde moved and asked unanimous consent to be excused from a call of the Senate from morning plane time, February 15 through evening plane time, February 18 and from morning plane time, Feb 20 through evening plane time, February 25. Without objection, Senator Bunde was excused. Senator Cowdery moved and asked unanimous consent to be excused from a call of the Senate from February 9 through evening plane time, February 11.
