Full Journal pdf2007-02-05 Senate Journal Page 0167 SENATE JOURNAL ALASKA STATE LEGISLATURE TWENTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE FIRST SESSION Juneau, Alaska Monday February 5, 2007 Twenty-first Day Pursuant to adjournment the Senate was called to order by President Green at 11:10 a.m. The roll showed thirteen members present. Senators Bunde, French, Hoffman, Wagoner, Wielechowski, Wilken were excused from a call of the Senate. Senator Kookesh was absent. Senator Stevens moved and asked unanimous consent that Senator Kookesh be excused from a call of the Senate today. Without objection, Senator Kookesh was excused. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Major Joe Huttenlocker of The Salvation Army. Senator Olson moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. O God, thou art the creator of this great nation and this State of Alaska in which we live, we give thee thanks. We give thanks for this new week and for those gathered in this chamber, in whom the people of Alaska have placed great trust. May their hearts and minds be in their service. May they debate well, with honorable intent, always keeping in mind those within our state who are less fortunate and need their compassion. Grant them friendship with one another. Give them wisdom that they may discern well. We ask this, Oh God, in thy name. May it be so. Amen. Without objection, it was so ordered. Unfinished Business Senator Therriault moved and asked unanimous consent to be excused from a call of the Senate from morning plane time, March 6 through March 11. Without objection, it was so ordered. President Green added a Resources Committee referral to the bill. The bill was referred to the Resources Committee.
