Let us pray. 2008-02-08 House Journal Page 1898 Eternal God, on the 25 day of this session of the Legislature, I am grateful for the principles that have made America a great nation: that all are created equal; that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are inalienable rights; that government is with the consent of the governed. I am grateful that every Alaskan has a representative in this House - that no one is left out of the circle of protection, care, and support in this state. Grant this day that the hearings, the committee meetings, the caucuses, and the work of this body may serve the people well. May good bills be perfected into even better acts. May unintended consequences be minimized. When the work of this day has been completed and all prepare to travel across this great state, may their planes, taxis, and ferries take them safely to their homes, their families, and their constituents. May they enjoy the rhythm of rest this weekend and be renewed for their work in the coming week. Amen.
