Dear Heavenly Father, My heart goes out for those families that have loved ones who are sacrificing their lives in Iraq and in other areas of the world for our country. May You comfort those families. For the families with loved ones in the military I ask that You strengthen and encourage these men, women and children who are separated from them. I pray that You protect and supply for their husbands and wives. For the children I ask that they feel Your love and may You take some of the hurt away from a mom or dad that is gone. Father, thank You for those that are sacrificing and have sacrificed so that we can live in the wonderful country that we do. When I look at our worldly warfare I am reminded that we too are in a spiritual warfare with the evil one. Knowing this may we take the opportunities that 2006-02-03 Senate Journal Page 2054 we have to stand up for our Lord and Savior. May You give us eyes that look into the eternals. In Christ's name I pray, Amen. Senator Stedman led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance.
