Senators Green, Hoffman, Seekins, Wagoner were excused from a call of the Senate. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, President Garth Hamblin of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Senator Olson moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Our Father in Heaven, We are grateful for our blessings. We are mindful of the beauty and bounty that is this great land. We are thankful for those that serve here. We pray that Thou would bless them in their deliberations as they seek to consider the needs of all Alaskans. We're mindful of the commotion that is in our world and pray that Thou would bless us to be instruments and authors of peace. I pray for these things in the name of Thy son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
