With deep respect for the religious beliefs of all Alaskans, I offer the following prayer. Dear God, the All-Power and Presence of the Universe, Open our hearts and minds to Your fullness today. Let the abundant goodness that You are providing to each of Your loved children be evident to us. Let us know that Your righteous judgment is supreme and that we reflect Your nature. Therefore, the wisdom, intelligence, and perspicacity needed to legislate and govern equitably and efficiently are ours as Your expression. Keep us focused on Your will so that fear, selfishness, impatience, or ignorance cannot deceive us into believing that You are not all, and that You do not have a satisfactory answer for every problem that comes before us. Let us be still to hear Your voice and then follow Your direction. 2006-04-19 House Journal Page 3198 Thank You, Father, for the opportunity to serve You and Your creation in this great state of Alaska.
