Representatives Anderson, Chenault, Coghill, Gatto, Holm, Joule, Kelly, McGuire, Rokeberg, and Salmon had been previously excused from a call of the House today. Acting Majority Leader Foster moved and asked unanimous consent that the following members' previously excused absences be extended through today because of plane delay: Representatives Berkowitz, Crawford (page 572); Croft (page 546); Gardner, Moses (page 572); Neuman (page 571); and Ramras (page 572). There being no objection, it was so ordered. Representative Foster moved and asked unanimous consent that Representative Kapsner be excused from a call of the House today. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Beverly Haywood of the Juneau Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Representative Meyer moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Into this House we come to seek that which is just and to find that which is good. We will not conduct the commerce of our times in harsh ways that thwart the hopes and dreams of many.
