Representatives Crawford, Holm, and Joule had been previously excused from a call of the House today. Representative Moses was absent. Representative Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that Representative Kerttula be excused from a call of the House today because of illness. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Gary Waterhouse of the Juneau and Sitka Seventh-day Adventist Churches. Representative Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it was so ordered. O Lord, our God, we pray for guidance and direction for these men and women who are representing the people of the state of Alaska. Give to them wisdom, understanding, and sound judgment, standing for truth and freedom, justice and principle. We live in critical times for Alaska, for the country, for the world. May we look to You as the one who has the remedy to all of our problems and needs, and may we be worthy of the office to which we have been entrusted. In Thy name we pray. Amen. There being no objection, it was so ordered.
