Senators Ellis, Lincoln were excused from a call of the Senate. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Reverend Steve Olmstead of Chapel by the Lake. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. In honor of celebrating St. Patrick's Day today, I would like to offer this prayer writing by St. Patrick. This prayer comes from a portion of what is called "St. Patrick's Breastplate."
