Dear Heavenly Father, We thank You for looking down on this body. Be with us as we deliberate the important issues before us. Help us to keep in mind that we are State Representatives; that we do have an obligation to our Districts, but over all, we always must ask, "Is it fair to all concerned and of benefit to all areas of the state?" Be with our families who have sacrificed their share of us while we serve as legislators. Be with our troops everywhere they may be serving, along with their families who have given 2004-04-22 House Journal Page 3434 up much more than ours have. Thank You, Father, for giving us wisdom, knowledge, and understanding as we do our work here. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Berkowitz.
