"Abraham went out without knowing where he was going." Hebrews 11:8. Oswald Chambers writes, "You do not know what you are going to do; the only thing you know is that God knows what He is doing. Continually revise your attitude toward God and see if it is a going out of everything, trusting in God entirely. It is this attitude that keeps you in perpetual 2004-03-09 House Journal Page 2920 wonder - you do not know what God is going to do next." My son-in-law yesterday went out in faith and humility to interview for a part-time temporary job selling passes at a park. He came back with a full-time temporary park ranger job and was told he will receive the first permanent position. You say, "What is the point?" My point is to let your life be a continual "going out" in dependence on God and you will be a wonder to yourself and others. Your life will have an ineffable charm about it. God will protect your going out and your coming in. Now go, in the mercy of the Father, and the grace of His Son, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Harris.
