Almighty God, We pause this moment for reflection with quietness before we begin the discussions of the day. We remember our duty in representing the people of Alaska. First, we are grateful for the privilege of being chosen to do this work and recognize the honor of upholding the integrity of this institution we have inherited. We cherish the right to debate the issues set before us as we work for the betterment of our people. We come now for Your guidance for today's work. Help us in wisdom and courage, knowing that the wisdom from above is pure, peaceable, easy to be entreated, and kind; that courage guided by You would temper us with mercy and truth. Thank You for the freedom to petition You and the grace to work under Your blessings. Thank You for the people of Alaska and our day to work for them. May Your power and presence be our guide today. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. 2004-03-05 House Journal Page 2862 The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Dahlstrom.
