O God, our Heavenly Father, we bow in awe and wonder before You; so high, so holy, so majestic, so powerful. Yet You know each of us by name; our strengths and struggles, our longings and failings. I come before You in this time of impending war and ask for You to be in the minds and hearts of our world's leaders so that they will rule us in ways that lead to peace with justice. 2003-03-19 House Journal Page 0574 Thank You for these leaders and their willingness to serve. Above the clamor of voices, the pressure of lobbyists, and the desire to please their constituents, enable them to hear and obey Thy still small voice within, that they might accomplish that unique purpose that You have for them today. I pray in the Name of Christ, the perfect servant of people. Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Coghill.
