The roll showed Senators Austerman, Elton, Hoffman, Kelly, Leman, Phillips, Therriault, Torgerson, Wilken present. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Reverend Steve Olmstead of the Chapel by the Lake. Senator Phillips led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance. Messages from the Governor HCR 2 Message dated and received March 7 was read, stating the Governor transmitted the engrossed and enrolled copies of the following resolution to the Lieutenant Governor's Office for permanent filing: HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 2 Authorizing two recesses by the Senate and House of Representatives, each for a period of more than three days. Adjournment Senator Kelly, Acting Majority Leader, moved and asked unanimous consent that the Senate stand in adjournment until 11:00 a.m., March 9, 2001.
