Senator Pearce was excused from a call of the Senate. Senator Lincoln was absent. Senator Leman moved and asked unanimous consent that Senator Lincoln be excused from a call of the Senate due to illness. Without objection, Senator Lincoln was excused. The Senate observed a moment of silence in memory of Senator Fred Zharoff. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Minister Robert Taverner of the Church of Christ. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Father, please lead this Senate in Your righteousness and wisdom. Give these senators wisdom and strength to seek Your will for this state. Thank You for Your care and love. Please forgive any weaknesses. May Your Kingdom be glorified. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
