We especially thank You for answering prayer, and we ask that You would continue to favor us with Your presence. We confess, Lord, that we are weak and that we need Your strength to sustain us. You have told us in the Psalms: "Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen Your heart." We confess that we have not always done right, but we thank You for the promise that when we return to You, that You will have mercy on us and that You will abundantly pardon. 2002-03-22 House Journal Page 2634 We pray, O God, that You would favor this nation. Bless our President and all those in authority. Direct his advisers and give wisdom to our Congress in these stressful days. Inspire our courts and our clergy with integrity and deliver us from the hands of our enemies and give us peace among ourselves. Keep us ever mindful of You this day as we go out and as we come in. We continue to pray for the Ogan family and for others who have been mentioned this morning who are ill and pray that You would continue to provide them with strength and healing. May we have the opportunity to gather in our respective places of worship this weekend, and may You bless and protect each one as they travel.
