There being no objection, it appears below: May each of us reflect, in the spirit of your choice, the following: Count Our Blessings If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead, and a place to sleep…you are richer than seventy-five percent of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, received a PFD check…you are among the top eight percent of the world's wealthy. 2001-01-22 House Journal Page 0142 If you woke up this morning with more health than illness…you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week. If you can attend a religious meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death… you are more blessed than three billion people in the world. If you can read…you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all. If you hold up your head and there is a smile on your face… you are truly thankful because the majority can, but most do not. Count and honor your blessings. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Hudson.
