Senators Halford, Pete Kelly were absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Reverend Father Tom Moffatt of the St. Nicholas Orthodox Christian Church. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. May He Who rose from the dead, Christ our True God establish the soul of His servant George, brother-in-law of Representative Bill Hudson, who has been taken from us, in the mansions of the righteous; give him rest in the bosom of Abraham, and number him with the venerable Ones in heaven where all sickness and sighing have passed away; and have mercy on us, as God is good and the lover of all mankind. Amen. Senator Green led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance. Recess Senator Mackie moved and asked unanimous consent that the Senate stand in recess to the Joint Session.
