Senator Lincoln was absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Father Tom Moffatt of the St. Nicholas Orthodox Christian Church. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Lord, remove any disappointment or despair. Give determination and wisdom to do work pleasing to You. Amen. Senator Tim Kelly led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance. Certification Senator Mackie moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal for the first legislative day of the First Special Session of the Twenty-first State Legislature be approved as certified by the Secretary.
