Source of love and compassion, yesterday we faced wind and snow while today brought warmth and some sunshine. Help us to face the challenges before us this day with the same assurance as we do the changing weather, knowing that all these things will pass some day. Set our feet on lofty pathways that will lead us to newer and brighter visions of a complete and whole society. Place before us pictures of our communities, as they could be when they too endure the winds of change and help us each to work within our community, state, country and the world to bring about those changes. For we ask this from the center of our beings, from the core of our compassion and love given to us by You. Amen. Senator Hoffman led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance. 461 1999-03-10 Senate Journal Page 0462 Certification Senator Mackie moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal for the fiftieth legislative day be approved as certified by the Secretary.
