The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Judy Minor, Christian Science Practitioner. Representative Hudson moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it appears below: Dear Father-Mother God, Let our prayer today begin with praise as we humbly acknowledge the authority we possess as Your receptive, obedient witnesses. As Elijah declared when challenged, "Let it be known this day that Thou art God in Israel and I am Thy servant." To serve the cause of Principle, Truth and Love is the true motive in lawmaking and pure intentions deprive selfish interests from gaining any foothold in this day's righteous activities. Just as nothing can separate us from You, Father, nothing can separate us from each other nor thwart Your plan for this day. We ask that Your Word enrich our affection for all mankind and reveal to us the means and methods for accomplishing the good You would have done here. The rich melody of our individual lives becomes a symphony in the glorious unity of working together to see Your purposes triumph. That which cannot be done alone is brought to full 1999-04-12 House Journal Page 0722 fruition when respect for each other and love for You is uppermost in thought. The harmony of this day is established because we know "that all things work together for good to those called according to Your purpose." Amen The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Green. CERTIFICATION OF THE JOURNAL Representative Green moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal for the 81st, 82nd and 83rd legislative days be approved as certified by the Chief Clerk. There being no objection, it was so ordered. * * * * * Representative Harris introduced Eric Bruseth, Guest Page, from Cordova.
