There being no objection, it appears below: Gracious God, our Heavenly Father, This morning we thank You for the many people with whom we work: aids, assistants, researchers, janitors and others quietly fulfilling responsibilities that these House Chambers might function effectively for the good of all Alaskans. In the springtime of this session tune our ears to quiet voices, our eyes to those who feel like throwaways and our hearts to be sensitive to all people. Enlarge our horizons that we might 1999-02-05 House Journal Page 0140 dream, sharpen our minds that we may discern, grant us a double portion of wisdom that we might identify the real issues and courage to find just solutions. Help us to separate need from greed, selflessness from self-centeredness and needs from wants. In the Name of Him Who came not to be served, but to serve, Jesus the Christ. Amen The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Phillips. * * * * * Representative Dyson requested that the House members stand to observe a moment of silence to honor the life of former Representative John J.
