Senator Ellis was excused from a call of the Senate. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, The Reverend Ellen Younker of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Senator Phillips led the Senate in the pledge of allegiance. CERTIFICATION Senator Taylor moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal for the ninth legislative day be approved as certified by the Secretary. Without objection, it was so ordered. Without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Wilken moved and asked unanimous consent that he be excused from a call of the Senate on January 24, after session through morning plane time January 27.
