In deepest respect for all the religious traditions present here
tonight, let us pray:

O God, we marvel at Your creative genius. The mountains
and seas, the clear blue sky and the variety of human beings
living in this place. We give You thanks for the joy that
comes from living in this place, and we pray for the
responsibility that comes with it.

O God, let this be the day we put on the garments of a
servant. May Your presence and Your creative hand guide the
work we have been called to do; meeting the needs of the
most needy, working for justice for all people; in acts of
compassion and reconciliation. Guide our work, so all may be
served. Amen."
