There being no objection, it appears below: Father, we thank You for salvation for it comes in no other name but in the name of Jesus. We thank You for providing the perfect sacrifice, Jesus, to atone for our sins forever. Because of that act of unselfish love we have hope today. Help us to never forget what You did for us 2000 Easters ago. You rose from the dead and conquered death and hell. And we give You glory and praise for that. 1997-04-02 House Journal Page 0906 Father, I understand that not one of us is deserving of that act of love, but every one of us is in need of it. Father, the men and women that stand before me today have asked me to pray for them. Their needs are great, but You are a great God. Father, I ask that You meet the needs of their families. Where there are family problems give wisdom. Where there is sickness bring healing. Where there is rebellion bring peace. And the issues that confront these representatives today give them a spirit of oneness and unity to bring resolve. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen! The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Kelly.
