Senator Lincoln offered Amendment No. 1 : Page 1, line 1: Delete "capital punishment" Insert "punishment for murder" Page 1, lines 4 - 5: Delete "whether the legislature should enact a law providing for capital punishment for" Insert "what punishment the legislature should provide by law for the crime of" Page 1, lines 8 - 12: Delete all material and insert: "Of the two alternatives listed below, indicate which punishment the Alaska State Legislature should provide for murder in the first degree. Select only one of the alternatives.
