Senators Pearce, Taylor were absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator Leman. Senator Zharoff led the Senate in the pledge of allegiance. The presence of Senator Pearce was noted. CERTIFICATION Senator Rieger moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal for the third legislative day of the First Special Session of the Eighteenth Legislature be approved as certified by the Secretary. Without objection, it was so ordered. SECOND READING OF HOUSE RESOLUTIONS HCR 39 HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 39 Suspending Uniform Rules 47 and 55 of the Alaska State Legislature relating to the carry over of bills to a special session, was read the second time. HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 39 was before the Senate on final passage.
