Senators Donley, Ellis, Jacko, Lincoln, Rieger and Salo were excused from a call of the Senate. Senators Adams, Duncan, Kerttula, Little and Zharoff were absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Andy Hall of the Lighthouse Baptist Church. Senator Frank led the Senate in the pledge of allegiance. Vorderstrasse and Annie Laurie Howard as Public Members to the Select Committee on Legislative Ethics be taken up. Senator Taylor moved and asked unanimous consent that the reconsideration of the confirmation of Edith A. Vorderstrasse and Annie Laurie Howard as Public Members to the Select Committee on Legislative Ethics be held to the March 3 calendar. Senator Duncan objected. Senator Taylor rose to a point of order. President Halford stated the point of order was well taken. Senator Taylor moved and asked unanimous consent that his motion be withdrawn. Without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Taylor moved that Edith A. Vorderstrasse and Annie Laurie Howard be confirmed as Public Members to the Select Committee on Legislative Ethics. Senator Duncan objected and moved to divide the question. Senator Duncan announced a Minority Caucus. Without objection, the Senate recessed at 4:07 p.m. AFTER RECESS The Senate reconvened at 5:10 p.m. Senator Duncan moved and asked unanimous consent to withdraw his motion to divide the question. Without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Taylor moved and asked unanimous consent to withdraw his motion. Without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Taylor moved that the vote for confirmation of Edith A. Vorderstrasse and Annie Laurie Howard as Public Members to the Select Committee on Legislative Ethics be combined. Senator Duncan moved that the reconsideration of Annie Laurie Howard's confirmation be brought up. Senator Taylor moved to amend the motion by adding "and Edith A. Vorderstrasse". Senator Duncan objected, and rose to a point of order. President Halford ruled that the amendment was in order. Senator Duncan appealed the ruling of the Chair, then withdrew his appeal.
