Senator Adams was excused from a call of the Senate. Senators Frank, Kerttula, Pearce, Rieger and Taylor were absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Monsignor James F. Miller of St. Paul's Catholic Church. Senator Kelly led the Senate in the pledge of allegiance. The presence of Senators Kerttula, Rieger and Taylor was noted.
