Representatives Hoffman and James had been previously excused from a call of the House today. Representatives Brice, Mackie and Menard were absent. There being no objection, it appears below: "Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in awareness and acknowledgement that You are in control. Your word tells us that it is You who sets up governments and places men in leadership. We are thankful for Your grace and mercy made available to us and for the abilities that You have given us. Lord, teach us to love as Jesus loved, and give us a fresh compassion for those we serve. As this session begins, we are aware of our need for Your guidance and wisdom for the decisions that we face. We ask Your help, for You have told us 'if any lack wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all men liberally'. So, we ask. Guide us today and in the days to come. In Jesus name, Amen."
