00 CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 130(STA) 01 "An Act requiring advisory votes on legislative enactment of an individual income tax 02 and a statewide sales tax." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section 05 to read: 06 ADVISORY VOTE ON TAX. At the first statewide election following the effective 07 date of this Act, the lieutenant governor shall place before the qualified voters of the state two 08 questions advisory to the legislature and the governor. Notwithstanding AS 15.80.005 and 09 other laws relating to the preparation of a ballot proposition, the questions shall appear on the 10 ballot in the following form: 11 Q U E S T I O N 12 Do you approve of the passage by the Alaska State Legislature of a bill 13 that imposes an individual income tax? 14 Yes [ ] No [ ]
