SCR 28: Suspending Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, concerning House Joint Resolution No. 28, opposing the United States Food and Drug Administration's approval of AquaBounty AquAdvantage genetically engineered salmon; urging the United States Congress to enact legislation that requires prominently labeling genetically engineered products with the words "Genetically Modified" on the product's packaging; and supporting the efforts of the state's congressional delegation to delay the confirmation of the new commissioner of the United States Food and Drug Administration until the United States Food and Drug Administration agrees to require labeling for genetically engineered salmon.

00 SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 28 01 Suspending Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State 02 Legislature, concerning House Joint Resolution No. 28, opposing the United States Food 03 and Drug Administration's approval of AquaBounty AquAdvantage genetically 04 engineered salmon; urging the United States Congress to enact legislation that requires 05 prominently labeling genetically engineered products with the words "Genetically 06 Modified" on the product's packaging; and supporting the efforts of the state's 07 congressional delegation to delay the confirmation of the new commissioner of the 08 United States Food and Drug Administration until the United States Food and Drug 09 Administration agrees to require labeling for genetically engineered salmon. 10 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 11 That under Rules 49(a) and 54, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, the 12 provisions of Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State 13 Legislature, regarding changes to the title of a bill, are suspended in consideration of House
