00                         SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1                                                                        
01 Establishing a Senate Special Committee on Education.                                                                   
02 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE:                                                                                           
03       WHEREAS education is one of the top priorities of the state;                                                    
04       BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate that a Senate Special Committee on Education is                                    
05 established to study issues relating to grade levels K - 12 and postsecondary education; and be                         
06 it                                                                                                                      
07       FURTHER RESOLVED that the president of the Senate shall determine the number                                    
08 of senators to be members of the committee and shall appoint the members and designate a                                
09 member to chair the committee; and be it                                                                                
10       FURTHER RESOLVED that the Senate Special Committee on Education may meet                                        
11 during and between sessions of the Twenty-Fifth Alaska State Legislature and is terminated                              
12 on the convening of the First Session of the Twenty-Sixth Alaska State Legislature.
