01 "An Act relating to the sale by jewelers of jewelry containing gold."                                                   
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 45.45 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                  
04            Sec. 45.45.940. Jewelers' use of state gold. A person who engages in the                                   
05       business of selling jewelry may not sell jewelry that contains gold, unless the gold was                          
06       mined in this state. A person who violates this section is guilty of a class A                                    
07       misdemeanor.
