00HOUSE BILL NO. 214 01 "An Act allowing the parent or legal guardian of a minor to disclose certain 02 records and information about the minor to certain state officials and state 03 employees; prohibiting further disclosure of the records and information to 04 unauthorized persons; and providing for an effective date." 05 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 06 * Section 1. AS 47.10.090 is amended by adding a new subsection to read: 07 (d) This section does not prohibit a parent or legal guardian of a minor from 08 disclosing records or other information about the minor that are protected under (a) or 09 (b) of this section to the governor, the lieutenant governor, a legislator, the ombudsman 10 appointed under AS 24.55, and the commissioners of health and social services, 11 administration, or public safety, or an employee of these persons, for review or use in 12 their official capacities. The persons to whom disclosure is made under this subsection 13 may not disclose records or other information disclosed under this subsection to a 14 person not authorized to receive the records or other information under this section if
01 the records and other information are protected from disclosure under (a) or (b) of this 02 section. 03 * Sec. 2. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
