OTHER:I am running for re-election as your Representative in West Fairbanks. I am a fourth generation, lifelong Alaskan with a deep love for our state. In 2010, I moved from Anchorage to Fairbanks to attend UAF. Since college, I’ve been dedicated to our community. I remain experienced and energized to help prepare for our long-term future, and I am All In For Alaska.
STATEMENT:Serving as your Representative for House District 35 for the past two years has been an honor. I am running for re-election because I am even more experienced, energized, and All In For Alaska.
I believe our best days are ahead of us, and I am committed to the current and future prosperity of Alaskan families, businesses, and communities. We need a new generation of leadership that will exercise political courage, civility, and moderation.
From passing several bills, to investing in the tourism industry, and to chairing the Interior Delegation which includes all legislators representing Interior Alaska – without regard to
political affiliation, I am proud of the accomplishments of my first term. Still, there is much more work to do, including stabilizing our education system by increasing investment; prioritizing affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy for all Alaskans; ensuring a thriving economy, and much more.
My platform remains consistent and has three pillars:
--Promoting Alaska’s Economic Future by growing the Permanent Fund, finding efficiencies in government spending, and opening pathways for new industry and economic development.
--Preserving Educational Opportunities by increasing the Base Student Allocation, fixing Alaska’s broken retirement system, expanding technical and vocational education, and securing stable funding for K-12 education and the University of Alaska.
--Protecting the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing of Alaskans by funding public safety and wrap-around services, protecting access to reproductive healthcare, and combating the mental and behavioral health crisis in Alaska.
