PREVIOUS SENATE ACTION SB 64 - See Senate Transportation minutes dated 2/9/95, 3/23/95 and 3/28/95. WITNESS REGISTER ACTION NARRATIVE TAPE 95-8, SIDE A SB 64 CONVERT AK RR TO PRIVATE CORPORATION CHAIRMAN RIEGER called the Senate Transportation meeting to order at 1:35 p.m. and introduced SB 64 as the only order of business before the committee. Chairman Rieger said that he would entertain a motion to move the bill out of committee. SENATOR ADAMS was under the impression that the committee would be reviewing the version K CS with the two changes on page 2, line 6. Senator Adams was corrected and recognized that version M was the newest CS. CHAIRMAN RIEGER clarified that he believed that version M had been adopted and was the version before the committee. SENATOR TAYLOR moved that CS SB 64 (TRA), Utermohle version M 3/23/95, be moved from committee with individual recommendations. SENATOR ADAMS objected. He wished that the committee would review his version of SB 64 which would achieve the sale of the railroad. SENATOR TAYLOR interjected that the Adams' version was similar to legislation he had sponsored a couple of years ago. He said that he shared Senator Adams' philosophy. CHAIRMAN RIEGER asked if there was any further objection to moving the legislation. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered. There being no further business before the committee, the meeting adjourned at 1:36 p.m.
