ACTION NARRATIVE TAPE 00-15, SIDE A CHAIRMAN KELLY called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order at 2:27 p.m. All members were present. HB 238-TAX OBLIGATION LOAN PROGRAM FOR FISHERS CHAIRMAN KELLY announced that the Senate Rules Committee substitute enacts a two year sunset date for a program that had already been sunsetted. He added that the bill ensures that the loans are available on a one-time basis only. None of the 288 recipients who have taken advantage of the program wil be eligible again. SENATOR LEMAN moved to adopt the Senate Rules Committee substitute. There being no objection, the motion carried. SENATOR LEMAN moved to calendar all Senate versions of HB 238 with individual recommendations and accompanying fiscal notes. There being no objection, the motion carried. There being no futher business to come before the committee, CHAIRMAN KELLY adjourned the meeting at 2:30 p.m.
