HB 159-PERS PEACE OFFR STATUS CORRECTION EMPLOYEE CHAIRMAN KELLY noted a proposed SCS CSHB 159(RLS) had been prepared and, although he did not plan to calendar the bill right away, he would like to adopt the new committee substitute (Version H). SENATOR MILLER moved to adopt Version H as the Senate Rules Committee substitute. There being no objection, the motion carried. SENATOR LEMAN moved to calendar, at the Chairman's discretion, all Senate versions of HB 159 with individual recommendations and accompanying fiscal notes. SB 298-PAY RAISE FOR NON-UNION STATE EMPLOYEES CHAIRMAN KELLY announced that a Senate Rules Committee substitute had been prepared which tightens up the language in the Senate Finance Committee substitute. SENATOR LEMAN moved to adopt the Senate Rules Committee substitute. There being no objection, the motion carried. SENATOR LEMAN moved to calendar all Senate versions of SB 298 at the Chairman's discretion with accompanying fiscal notes and individual recommendations. There being no objection, the motion carried.
