CHAIRMAN KELLY called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order                                                               
at 11:57 a.m.  Present were Senators Pearce, Miller, and Chairman                                                               
Kelly.                                                                                                                          
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR PEARCE moved to calendar SB 7-INCREASE LAND GRANT TO UNIV.                                                              
OF ALASKA.  There being no objection,  the motion carried.                                                                      
SENATOR ELLIS arrived.                                                                                                          
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR PEARCE moved to calendar SB 88-DIETITIANS AND                                                                           
NUTRITIONISTS.  There being no objection, the motion carried.                                                                   
                                                                                                                                
CHAIRMAN KELLY asked Senator Ellis if he had an objection to                                                                    
calendaring SB 7.  SENATOR ELLIS stated he did.                                                                                 
                                                                                                                                
CHAIRMAN KELLY asked if there was objection to rescinding the                                                                   
committee's action on SB 7.  There being no objection, the motion                                                               
to calendar SB 7 was rescinded.                                                                                                 
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR PEARCE moved to calendar SB 7-INCREASE LAND GRANT TO UNIV.                                                              
OF ALASKA.  SENATOR ELLIS objected.  The motion to calendar SB 7                                                                
carried with Senators Pearce, Miller and Kelly voting "yea," and                                                                
Senator Ellis voting "nay."                                                                                                     
                                                                                                                                
There being no further business to come before the committee,                                                                   
CHAIRMAN KELLY adjourned the meeting at 11:59 a.m.
