ACTION NARRATIVE TAPE 99-3, SIDE A CHAIRMAN KELLY called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order at 11:38 a.m. Present were Senators Pearce, Ellis, and Kelly, Chair. SENATOR PEARCE moved all versions of SB 27-ACCESS TO DRIVING/SCHOOL RECORDS OF CHILD for calendaring. There being no objection, the motion carried. CHAIRMAN KELLY announced SB 48 would be taken up on Monday, March 22. SENATOR PEARCE moved to calendar CSHB 77(FIN)-JOINT ARMED SERVICES COMMITTEE. SENATOR ELLIS objected and asked about the bill's fiscal impact. CHAIRMAN KELLY explained CSHB 77(FIN) collapses the existing committee structure, therefore no duplication of costs will occur. CSHB 77(FIN) provides that the new committee will be funded by the Legislative Council. SENATOR ELLIS removed his objection, therefore the motion to calendar CSHB 77(FIN) carried. There being no further business to come before the committee, CHAIRMAN KELLY adjourned the meeting at 11:44 a.m.
